Amazon is a weird company. They are a combination of high-margin tech (AWS) and low-margin retail. These two segments should be spun-off into separate companies. The retail is dragging down AWS. Pure tech companies like Alphabet and Microsoft don’t have this problem.
That’s an interesting comment. I am not very much familiar with Amazon’s results and strategy. But with all the investments 60b+60b+60b that they make, I see only a slight increase in sales while comparing to the 2020 year. Keep in mind the inflation!!
@Max Actually, i shouldn’t be classifying Alphabet as a pure tech company. They are more of a communications/media company than tech. Same with Meta and Netflix. They make most of their money through advertising. The true tech companies are Microsoft and Adobe. Cisco Systems and the semiconductor makers are also tech.

I just want to correct Tristan – 3.8B users are active monthly users which means if you use FB, Instagram, Messenger you`re counted as 3 users over there. 8B users is not the entire population its more like 10% of it cuz Meta has like 7-8 apps.
