  1. Good stuff! Nothing much new but it’s important to get this kind of reality check sometimes, and this is a great way of going about it.

  2. Hi Sven. I would like to know do you have always position in gold miners? I remember that you once said that 5% of portfolio would be good to join gold

  3. Hey Sven, do you think that the ease of investing nowadays due to the Internet and being able to invest over your phone as well as do lots of research at a click of a finger with very low cost transactions would mean that valuations could be higher for the long term as it’s more accessible for anyone and everyone? I don’t mean sky high valuations but below 15pe on the market seems as if it may be a bit low, unless of a major crisis?

    1. And don’t forget passive investing. A lot of people simply keep buying S&P 500 ETFs every month with their savings.

  4. These are some of my favorite presentations from you! Thanks. PS, the audio turned out much better than some previous videos.

  5. Sven Videos are always on the top of my watch recommendations and i am grateful for that. Have a formidable weekend, Sven!

  6. What if the change of paradigm consists in the PE being higher in a normal market situation?

  7. Hey Sven, an idea for a video would be dividend payers where you analyze large maturing cash cow companies like Google and PayPal that seem to be in the position of starting to payout growing dividends soon. I’m new in investing and still doing my research.

    1. nice suggestion, I had a financial emergency late 2019 and sold my shares for a healthy profit to cover expense, still wish I hung on to those shares today and just opened a credit card instead, but then I had no sort of guide or expert counsel

    2. @Anderson VernonI hear that, apparently the role of advisors role can only be overlooked, but not denied. Amidst the rona-outbreak in January 2020, I suffered a 10% decline in portfolio hence, consulted an advisor at once to avoid blunder, my account has generated a big fat yield and now leverages on 7-figure.

    3. @Lanciy Camara happy investing! much more information needed please, who is this advisr guiding you? love to stick it on my own but its been hard for me this year

    4. @Elan LeonI take guidance from ‘Katherine Nance Dietz’ to meet my growth goals and avoid mistakes, she’s well-qualified and her page can be easily found on the net. The decision on when to pick an advisor is a very personal one.

    5. @Lanciy CamaraShe seems impeccable, thankfully inputted her full name on my browser and spotted her site without sweat.. no doubt many successful investments have been built on no more than a professional’s hunch,

  8. Sven do you think that ease of investing will permanently inflate pe ratios? Much easier to invest for the average person now compared to 1980s with 0 commision brokers and smartphones

    1. But what if these people need to convert their stocks back into money because of things like livingCosts and jobloss? And what when the other see a downwardtrend? Panic selling?

    2. @Don Kalzone I guess that is why Michael Burry sees the new ETF passive investing hype as the next investment bubble that has to burst sooner or later.

  9. Sven, please keep this sound, finally it’s great. And great content as usual, thank you.

  10. hi Swen! Have you investigated Polish and Czech markets looks? Have heard a lot of positive forecasts about these economics.

  11. Ciao Sven. I get your point as I’m on the same boat. It’s hard and frustrating for a value investor to see prices going up for no reason. However I also think that fomo is very strong, and most people keep buying when prices go up. I know people who tried to stay out of the market for months, then they gave up and entered once they saw prices keeping going up. It’s just fomo and lack of patience

  12. There’s a constant inflow into the market though 401ks and their international equivalents. Good times and bad. At the other end, people are a bit reluctant to withdraw fully on retirement. Is this factor of importance in the overall direction of the market? Ie the money has nowhere else to go?
