  1. Hi Sven, I don’t know what happened with your mic recently but it’s not that nice to listen to. It used to be very good! Last video I noticed this as well.

    1. ah, i just bought a new one bacause people said it is not good, now you say it is not good, ah…. I think I will never be able to make everybody happy…

    2. @Value Investing with Sven Carlin, Ph.D. It might be good but maybe you have an option selected to auto adjust microphone level, it kinda sounds like that. Just listen to it yourself for a minute and you’ll hear.

  2. Good to buy this one after the recession hit! We need a new economic cycle to begin in order to make money here…

  3. French dividend stocks are complicated for German investors but thank you very much for the presentation.

    1. It’s not a good remark because there is no nationality in businesses, question is just WHERE the company is earning money. When you’re buying LVMH you’re basically buying the luxury stuff that they are selling IN CHINA. So you’re buying China. And so you’re not truely buying the socialism in France (if it was what disturbed you). So here for Rubis, Sven want to buy “Africa” in a stock based on property right respectful countries. Regards Man.

    2. or maybe he was thinking about tax or other issues not about “french socialism” ?😂😂😂

    3. @Gottfried Vandale The problem with french stocks in Germany is that many broker calculate 28% withholding tax but you can only offset 12.8% when the German tax department want their 26,38%.

      LVMH works better because their dividend yield is only about 1,36%.

  4. Hi Sven. Whats the ticker for this one? Theres RUI denominated in EUR and then also RUBSF (OTCMKTS) in USD. Unfortunately I can only buy the RUBSF one, is that as good? It seems to follow the RUI one very closely.

    1. Hi, be careful with the liquidity of the OTC Market. If you cannot trade a stock quoted in Euronext Paris, then change your broker (with e.g. IBKR).

    2. Probably is the same thing. Many companies are listed in different stock indexes with different ticker symbols (e.g. BABA in NYSE and HK9988 in Hong Kong). You should be ok with that ticker.

  5. can you research flatex degiro with a pe of 10 and a customer grwoth rate of about 15% it could be a good buy. There profitability also increased a lot in the same time there revenue decreased

    1. I bought that stock at 6,50 EUR when it dived because everybody was shitting their pants because of the BaFin audit. 😀

    2. @TheScaryGermanGuy hahah me to I am up about 70% right now but it still looks like a good buy. 🤑🤑🤑🤑💸💸

  6. I’m not a great fan of this stock either for several reasons :
    – Fuel distribution is a declining buisness ;
    – Africa and the Caraïbean (Haïti) are sadly not great places for buisness, anything can happen ;
    – They may have paid too much for Photosol ;
    – The stock price is declining since 5 years.

    1. I have to agree with you, the dividend represents around 90% of the FCF. However I like the company for its potential. I am waiting for lower prices to start a position (21€).

  7. Hey Sven,

    i am a subscriber of your research platform. This probably sounds salty but i dont like that you share all this „paid content“ for free on YT. It just makes me think that i am spending a lot of money for something that is given away for free anyway.
    Yes there are many other companies which are not talked about .. but by scrolling through your analysed stocks in the videos and listening closely one can still sort of figure it out.
    This sounds very envious and I am aware of that but I would prefer some sort of reason to look behind the „Paywall“

  8. I’ve got a very basic (unfinished) DCF model for Rubis, which gives me a valuation of EUR27 per share. So, not much upside from the current share price of EUR26. The 7.4% dividend yield is tempting, but then I remember that EU dividends are subject to a 19% withholding tax. Investing in a tax-free UK ISA account, I can do better buying British shares for dividends. Also, P/E ratio of 10 with dividend yield of 7.4% implies a 74% dividend payout ratio. A bit on the high side.

    One point worth noting is that Rubis is an SCA, Societe en Commandite par Action. I believe that means the CEO is personally responsible for company debts up to the entirely of his personal assets. And yes, the company operates in Africa, a continent with economic growth…but when will this stock pull out of its 5 year slump?

  9. Also keep in mind: You have to pay an additional 0,3% financial transaction fee to the French state when buying/selling French stocks.

    1. + 30% in taxes to the french government when the dividend is payed. When I add this tax to my DCF model, the valuation drops a lot. However, I am willing to wait for lower prices, I love Rubis is investing heavily in emerging markets such as Africa and the Caribbeans.

  10. so basically Rubis is financing its infrastructures the same way BN has been doing….. using non recourse debt. I want to know your opinion, Sven. Do you think its possible for a Company to default on its debt without suffering reputation problems that affects its future financial operations¿?

  11. Hey Sven, great video! I was wondering whether dividend portfolio’s are useful when your aim is to grow your capital especially when there are taxes on the dividends. I would really love more explanation on dividends in general one day!

    1. there is infinite amount of information about dividends and taxes on the internet, not hard to do research

  12. To be successful in markets, traders should understand the crossover between asset classes & liquidity flow. Julia David focuses on Multi-asset trading, a single strategy to manage risk, profit, and the code or the actual decision-making across multi-asset classes. Her skills set is top notch.

    1. Wow, amazing to see others who trade with Mrs. Julia David, I’m currently on my 5th trade with her and my portfolio has grown tremendously.

    2. I invest with Mrs Julia David too, She charges 20% commission on profit made after every trading session which is fair compared to the effort she put in to make huge profits.

    3. I am fascinated by the accuracy of her predictions. One must think she reside in the market lol. Great trades yesterday though

  13. Awesome video! I was blown away by the recent economic data! There seems to be uncertainty over inflation and the U.S. stock market is at a crucial crossroads. Despite growing concerns among investors, the economy shows signs of resilience which could help Bitcoin remain stable. Interestingly, the crypto market, which is usually correlated with the U.S. stock market, has been moving in the opposite direction. BTC and the Nasdaq are currently bouncing back. However, with the sentiment changing fast now is the perfect time to get into the crypto market. Linda Wilburn’s excellent trading strategy has helped me amass 32 btc in the three weeks that I’ve been trading. In this field, she is a true visionary.

    1. We can all learn a thing or two from Wilburn, her profit making skills is phenomenon. Thanks to her I’m making more profit and getting rich.

    2. Bitcoin is the way of the future, and investing in it will be the smartest decision you can do, especially with its present Price.

    3. When it comes to investing, we want our money to grow with the highest rates of return, and the lowest risk possible. While there are no shortcuts to getting rich, but there are smart ways to go about it.

    4. This is exactly why I have been working with her signal cause i can’t risk to have 6 figures just sleeping there in my coin base not knowing what tomorrow holds for you..

    5. Everyone needs more than a Basic Income to be Financially Secured in this present time that there’s an Economic Decline.

  14. I would buy this only as a global conflict stock . If the world fell into a broader military conflict environment.
