  1. These analysts downgrade the stock if the price drops and upgrade them if the price rises. What a joke. Their price targets might as well be the 200-day moving average for the stock.

  2. Whew yeah, being compared to an analyst… that’s rough! Hang in there, Sven! Keep up the good work.

  3. Hey Sven.
I really appreciate that you change your opinion on new information. Even so I don’t agree on FB I think that this is a strength and not a weakness.
I would really appreciate your input on the company BIC. I really don’t know what to make out of this company. The best lighters by far, but also some crappy products (pens that are not good and one time shavers). Also, I think the management is not shareholder focused because around 55% of the company is owned by the founder family. On the other hand, it is super cheap and if they start focusing on shareholders they can create a lot of value. Thank you for your awesome videos.

  4. This was a great rebuttal. You take a lot of flack from people and you deserve much better for the knowledge you are sharing.
I’m still bullish on Meta though as I think they are still an advantaged business.

    1. Meta can do great, i am just discussing why I don’t like the risk and reward!

  5. Hi Sven, I appreciate you channel a lot. Thanks for all the work you put in. You are not posting as many as before . Look fwd for ur guidance in this crash.

  6. Hi Sven!

Thanks for this video! Even though initially there was a lot of negativity about changing your mind, I’m really happy you made the video, because you managed to teach us a lot again! I think it was a great lesson and a really good example for the times when prices go down, you have a great opportunity to buy more shares, but this time you have to ask yourself the question why is the business getting less attractive to investors?

I’d like to ask you a question about the times when the prices go up, the business is looking good, getting a lot more popular, but you should consider selling your stocks, because there’s something wrong and only good investors can tell. Maybe you can make a video about it in the future?

On my own example (I’m not a good investor, hehe). Last year I’ve purchased some oil stocks and it went up a 100% within less than a year. I was really happy to see a huge plus on my portfolio, but whenever I wanted to buy more shares, I got a bad feeling about looking at the insider trading. Everything else looked great with the business, they even do buyback for almost $1bn, when the market cap is $18bn, has a 21 P/E ratio, $3.6bn operating cash flow, paid back $1.4bn debts, etc. but the board of directors sold an insane amount of shares (more than what they’ve purchased/received), and that made me unsure about their intentions. How much should we worry about insider sellings? Maybe there’s something wrong here?

(If you wanna know the name of the business, I’m happy to send you a DM or an e-mail.)

    1. on insiders selling, you can never know that 🙁 maybe they are buying a house or something, maybe they know something

  7. Hi Sven, appreciate your transparency. There is nothing wrong in changing your mind on an investment. Meta has shown great capability to navigate and adapt to numerous headwinds in the past. With their talented leadership and massive cash generating capabilities, they can definitely adapt to the current headwinds as well.

  8. I understand everything is always changing, however, can an advertising business lose 70% of its value in one year? I do not think so. That’s the problem with the dcf model, basically the company can be worth anything depending on the future revenue growth. And we can’t predict the future so…

    1. yes it can if growht is the key component of valuation and then the growht isn’t there

  9. Sven, keep doing your method because it obviously works. If other people want to be static while trading (such as the toxic HODL mentality for memestocks), let them lose money. You shouldn’t be ashamed for following fundamentals! :3

  10. Your video on FB had the opposite effect on me. I trust you much more now that I know you are affected so little by confirmation bias and your followers’ opinions. Keep up the good work!

    1. thanks! But never trust me, just gather info and see how it fits you!

  11. Hi! Just to clarify I didnt mean to offend you with my last comment (hopefully you understood it right). I just not consider that Meta changed that much for the worse in 6 months. Now we see it was overvalued, and it is scary when the market “price in” an annual 20% growth for a company, but now It seems the opposite (undervalued).

Anyway thank you for the video and your invaluable insight in the investing world : )

    1. anything can be, FB can really do great, but I just discuss the risks that I see and how those fit me

  12. Man keep up with the good work. Your analysis is golden. Haters are a normal thing for successful content creators, best to to get used to that…

  13. Thanks Sven, it’s always interesting to listen to your experienced point of view, maybe some day you could get round to looking at British companies good and bad, big or not so,, l know you focused on the Dutch market recently, you’ve probably done British companies but I’ve missed it 🙄👍

  14. WARNING: As the channel grows (thank you all for that), there are more and more scammers impersonating me. The only thing I am selling is my Research Platform and Book https://sven-carlin-research-platform.teachable.com/p/stock-market-research-platform
All that I do, the real links to my content are in the description of the video, I don’t give out my Whatsapp number and I don’t sell any Cryptocurrency related things! BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

  15. I have developed a rule, if I buy I do not change my outlook until at least an entire year has passed, helps keeping me sane and focused on the important 20% of the details, I also think is consistent with my long term ideology of investing.

  16. Great video, love the fact your open about your changes in mind and your thought process behind it. Shows your one of the good guys, people should pay attention you have so much value to offer. Keep it up 👍
