  1. Given the infamous delusional character of answers of ChatGPT, I would not trust anything factual that comes out of it’s ‘mouth’ right now. That includes numbers (growth rate, free cash flow etc.). Because every one of them has to be manually fact checked. At least until there is clear “branding” (like a quality control) that ChatGPT is “factually safe”.
Where I see its utility is in generating ideas, that includes ideas for stories about companies to invest. For example, I can ask it, “give me 5 reasons to invest in Google stock”. And after that in the spirit of “invert, always invert” I can ask “give me 5 reasons not to invest in Google stock”. And I can think about those 10 ideas and see if they fit in my story about Google, or, if I don’t have a story, maybe they can be like a blueprint of my story.

  2. Great podcast about the good (and perhaps bad) features of AI. There will always be concerns with any new technology because it can be so easily misused for deception and/or coersion but one thing is certain, once the jeanie is out of the bottle you can’t put it back. AI undoubtedly will be part of our lives increasingly more and more. Thanks Phil & Danielle for offering thought-provoking as well as diverse viewpoints. Keep up the good work.

  3. You can activate ChatGPT plus if you want fast answers, besides it gives you access to GPT-4 which is much better.

  4. No doubt that ChatGPT is mastering BS! (I expect it to run for public office, soon. Or maybe get a show on MSNBC?) I (try to) use it for writing posts about specific songs. It almost always gets the lyrics wrong! (After listening to this podcast, I think it may be just making the lyrics up.)
