  1. hey Brandon, noticed that you’re heavily invested in individual stocks for your tfsa. Was wondering why you chose this approach instead of opting for some more diversification like index funds?

  2. We are in a commodity supercycle. Been a great couple years now. I will continue to hold oil/gas, miners, fertilizer, royalty companies until the market conditions change. General equities are not the place to be during these cycles.

  3. As a newbie to investing, I really appreciate these videos! I feel more capable to start investing in some stocks for the long run and learning along the way!

  4. I love Facebook & Williams Sonoma. They are in my top 25 stock list That said, especially with WSM, it’s not the right time to invest. WSM is being highly shorted. They are studies done that high beta stocks like it, that are highly shorted, perform poorly. I am waiting for their short ratio to get cut in half before putting money into it.

The other thing to consider is what sectors do well long-term in a high inflation environment? IMHO, we will be in this environment for years. The research that I have read, show that consumer cyclicals & tech stocks fare the worse.

Look what stocks Buffett has bought the last couple of years. He bought an oil company, a cons

    1. and a consumer defensive stock. Consumer defensive companies & oil stocks tend to outperform in inflationary environments.

  5. Hey Brandon, thanks for the transparency! As someone with a similar looking TFSA, it really helps 😂 Are you planning on adding more baba and ten cent in the future to lower that average?

  6. I’ve always hated the colour Red—Hate it even more since I started investing. Been waiting for Facebook to dip and since I just started investing in January, I didn’t have to wait long. It’s getting CRUSHED. I set up my husband’s portfolio at the same time I did my own and he’s been in the green a lot so I did something right. I’m not worried though…things will work out.

  7. I just buy index etfs like VOO/VFV, VYM, and VCN every month and just put money in regardless what happens. Single stocks always put you at most risk so be careful everyone.

  8. All there is to investing is picking good stocks at good times and staying with them as long as they remain good companies.

  9. I am down almost 41% because of my growth plays along with blue chips. Can you share your thoughts on : Sea Limited, affirm, roblox, paypal, shopify.

  10. I’ve been following your channels for a good 2 years but I’m still curious as to what your investing philosophy is? What do you look at when you research companies? Would be an interesting video
