  1. Agree on price dave. Look at m3 price discount. I think it will take longer to discount and will wait them out.

  2. The Hagerty video on the cybertruck alone will sell 10 million cybertrucks if Tesla uses it for marketing purposes. It’s brilliant!

  3. Tesla Cybertruck pricing: Just what I expected/hoped for as a shareholder – just under the $80k price threshold to get the $7500 EV tax credit. It would have been stupid to sell the truck for $40k with 2 million orders. Early buyers would just flip them for profit and may still do even at $80k.
The Porsche 911 has a RRP range of £99,275 to £234,260. The price of a used Porsche 911 on carwow starts at £80,000.

    1. Agreed pricing is as expected. Go price shop for an F150…Of course I would love 10k to roll off the price in the future.

  4. Pricing is aligned with my expectations. Not that I’m remotely qualified to judge. The intervening four years have seen high inflation. Tesla has been held up for whatever reasons in the 4680 development and ramp, so there’s little economy of scale there. Finally, I always thought the prices initially stated were unrealistically low – they probably should have been at least $5k higher.

  5. Yes, I feel like these prices are temporary early pricing like we’ve seen in other Tesla vehicles, my hope is to see $10-15k price drop on at least one AWD model. I might not be able to afford it when my time in line comes up sadly at current pricing. The $8,600+ tax and fees really hurt with this price point.

  6. Dave thanks for taking the mystery of the Cybertruck. I believe this Cybertruck will be the new standard for the rest of the industry. Think of all the legacy auto makers going thru hell now trying to figure out what to do. I am glad I am invested in Tesla.

  7. Great analysis Dave! This is what I needed as a TSLA investor! Cause, with all the CT hype that Elon built up over the years, my expectations weren’t met and i walked away confused and disappointed after his presentation.

  8. The combination of the super car level body stiffness, steering by wire, rear wheel steering and computer control suspension make this thing drive like a sport car.
The ideas of a separate range extender is brilliant if it can be remove and use as home power wall and hook it back into the truck for long trips..
OEM: We know how to make trucks
    Tesla: Hold my beer

  9. Tesla Van would be AWESOME! With kiddos, having a van is so convenient. I am excited to get a Cybertruck, but also really hoping a Cybervan comes out soon!

  10. I agree with Dave on a Tesla delivery van be among the future products, but I doubt it will happen for at least two years. The Tesla compact will be the big focus from now until 2026.

The other vehicle I see is Cybertruck for the global market, think Hilux size. The Cybertruck is too big for roads in places like Europe. Basically shrinking nk the Cybertruck by 25%. This is so mething that might get built in Germany or China.

If the 4680 battery hits the goals set in 2019, things will change rapidly. Seeing how the first year of Cybertrucks goes is going to play a major roll in where Tesla goes with their products.

  11. Thanks Dave. Your uploads always offer a unique, insightful perspective. I think the range vs price trade-off was a little lower than expectations, but given the demand and amazing tech, I still see the cybertruck being a revolutionary product for Tesla.

  12. The Single-Motor price was better than I expected. There are several factors that will LOWER cost over the next 6-18 months: 1. Point of Sale $7,500 Federal Incentive Jan 1. 2. Lower Interest Rates. 3. Prices will drop as volume production scales up. 4. Battery & Lithium prices are dropping like a rock. 5. Optimus Bots could lower COGS even more. 6. CA has several other credits, including trading in your old ICE car.

  13. They should have a version of the CyberTruck range extender which replaces the back seats so you don’t lose the utility of the bed.

  14. If all three versions have the same battery pack, then the range on the single motor variant must be software limited and therefore could be increased with an over-the-air update.

  15. The kep importance of the cybertruck will be the testing ground for new features/processes that will be vital for the next gen MODEL 2/ robotaxi.

  16. The top two versions of the Cybertruck nearly match the Model X pricing.

Over time the base model Cybertruck should approach the cost of the most expensive version of the Model Y.
