Elon doesn’t fail . Now is the time to buy , buy more and more . Elon is a winner .
@Fabi an Everything into Tesla . Elon doesn’t fail . He’s revolutionizing the Ev the world . In 7-10 yrs you will make $$$& . Weather the storm now as it doesn’t last forever
@Fabi an I did that already. Dumped several others for lower profits than I know they’re worth, but the oppertunity with Tesla just outweighed all of them.
Now is the time to buy cautiously. Tesla will fall more and youll regret buying too early.
@Marcus V Bingo. Tesla has a great future but macro factors will pull price down much farther, short term.
@Marcus V yes they could drop , drop or go up , up .. anyones guess
Re: Elon’s safety… don’t forget that he challenged Vladimir Putin to single combat over Ukraine. I’m very glad to hear that he takes security very seriously. (Not surprising, of course, but good to hear anyway.)
Tesla will do well in the long run. It feels like a monopoly to me. There really isn’t any competition. People say competition is coming, but I don’t really think so. Tesla is years ahead of everyone else.
Tesla is ten years ahead and getting further ahead daily.
Competition likely is coming, but, they’ll constantly be trailing 10 years behind Tesla
I remember when people said that about blackberry but then Apple came…
@William Read They broke the mould at Apple yes. Tesla created it then broke it.
Elons safety is massive to me, if there is one man that can make the world better, its him.
But looking at how Russian assassination attempts using Novichok have been so successful? Hope his team is robust
The Skripals lived 5 miles from the only lab in Europe experimenting with Novichok (Porton Down), amazing coincidence 🤔
The last death from Smallpox escaped from a U.K. lab.
The last ‘Foot & Mouth’ outbreak in the U.K. escaped from a government lab.
If you have shares, you could sell some to buy options. When stock rises again, options will rise faster. Note however: the risk is that options will expire worthless if it takes long for the stock to rise. To reduce that risk, you could think about long term options (leaps), eg expiry in June 2024.
I think of doing this.. what are your thoughts on this strategy?
Oh. You mention this in 8:47 🙂
This is why the bottom is clearly not in. People still considering buying calls lmao.
13:15. It’s an “emerging” store of value. It hasn’t reached its full stature. It is like “digital gold” in terms of its issuance rate, but as you know, prices are set at the margins, and at the moment, the marginal buyers are traders who see it as a risk asset. As it matures, its inherent properties will continue to position it within the market place, and it will eventually be more stable. But we’re still early for that.
Here is what we know-the price of petroleum will remain high for the foreseeable future thus inflation and rising interesting rates and probably recession. The recession may be steep and long as soon as employers decided they don’t need all the employees they’ve been inventorying. Now what we don’t know about Tesla, but should think about, is how solid are all those backlogged orders. The cost to cancel an order for a Tesla has not been high (when I bought mine it was $100) so that if I decided that economic considerations caused me to not want it canceling the order was a relatively cheap move. Economic factors that might have changed my mind might have included: investment losses, cost of financing, reduced trade-in/resale values of both my old car and the new car. Or, in other words, where in the tipping point on Tesla and when might we arrive there.
hey Dave! since elon is trying to revolutionize Twitter and will b3 doing account verification with u.s. citizens, why not explore the idea of voting. electronic voting (on election day) isn’t a thing yet in 2022 and the government is behind on technology due to security reasons (probably). to revolutionize twitter and bring more traffic and engagement, I’m thinking it should do “voting”, or do “polls” on regular topics, so politicians can connect with the engaged public on any topic, realtime.
Be an investor in Tesla, not a day trader. If you are a recent investor, the idea is to buy these wild pullback below your cost basis if you are an early investor, this can be painful and uncertain. Over time, you will have a low cost basis that allows you to shrug off any pull back. This is the difference between an investor and day trader.
Stay calm and good luck to all in the community.
@Bruno Heggli “But Tesla is a sinking ship,so why investing in it?”
Sinking ships doesn’t grow faster than 50% CAGR. Try again.
@Yourcrazybear Its already slowing down and they wontgrowh 50% this year and next year even less, and its still just a small carcompany!
@Bruno Heggli ” Its already slowing down and they wontgrowh 50% this yea”
They are not slowing down and they will exceed 50% growth this year. They have 2 new gigantic factories that will be ramped up by the end of the year.
“and next year even less, and its still just a small carcompany!”
They have 2 new gigantic factories that will be ramped up by the end of the year. Next year the growth will substantially exceed 50%. They are also building out new capacity in China as well.
Tesla is the biggest, fastest, most agile EV manufacturer in the world. Tesla is producing EVs 3 times as fast as Volkswagen! Try again.
@Yourcrazybear maybe if i now could buy it under 200$ i would buy some!
@Bruno Heggli “maybe if i now could buy it under 200$ i would buy some!”
Too bad for you as that won’t happen.
My advice to new investors: buy good companies and keep them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore market predications and opinions which are funny at best but completely useless, I put in 80k in TSLA, NFLX, ALB stocks with the help of my F,A Erin Mary Worden and made 480k, but guess what? I put it back with her again and now I’m rounding up close to 900k. Focus on the company not just the stock price.
Love it when I see women excelling. I’m also on my to the millionaires club from investing in stocks.Compounding is the 8th wonder of the world.
Consistently investing in quality dividends paying companies over the long term is a relatively easy strategy to create generational wealth. I like this
I Did a quick search and found her web page. Her resume is pretty impressive… I wrote her on her web and I’m waiting on her reply.
What makes a company a good company? Any particular metrics?
When the stock price drops:
– Investor in general: OMG, what do I do?
– Tesla investor: the price looks attractive, let me buy more.
That sums it up nicely!
After going through 2008 – 2009 this feels like a pothole filled road.I have enough conviction in Tesla to know in the medium to long term ,I will look back and smile
I’m sure the board of directors has no problem to increase Elon’s security spendings to 100M per year.
Tesla is trading at a forward adjusted PE of 61… that’s a PEG ratio below 1.
Tesla is so undervalued right now!
The only stock news that matters to me is the price on the day when I buy and the price on the day when I decide to sell it back. Everything that happens in the between those two points is just noise/distraction/entertainment.
I don’t have money to buy more stock “on the dips” so it is just a waiting game until Tesla takes over the automotive/energy/robotics world.
I have been through many financial cycles before, BUT I still needed this. The fear of stock free falling always gets me. Thanks for the therapy.
Thank you again Dave and Emmet for the therapeutic sessions. The timing is always clutch!
Never go all in on any trade, no matter how much you know it’s gonna go. it will go, but on it’s time frame not yours. Leave some money for dips and trade other plays in meantime. No matter how small or large you’re working with.
Timing the market is impossible. history shows that the market will in the long term have an upward trend, so the worst thing is not investing at all.
@Margarita HonestFollowing the dollar cost averaging technique is pretty great, thats why you see people investing at the highs and the lows.
@Smart UtherThe market has chopped me so much lately. Too much FUD going around, buying at the top and selling at the bottom. I can’t afford to be on the losing side any more. I need a professional who will be my eyes and guide my hands in the market.
@Smart Utherhow does one reach Stephanie pls
@John Wesyou do that from her page on the internet.
As a long term Tesla investor I am just waiting for my next opportunity to buy. I believe we are in for some significant turbulence in Tesla stock over the next 3-6months. The FUD around 2nd quarter earnings with the Shanghai issues will be LOUD and complicated by the macro economic issues. BUT I see light at the end of the tunnel when it becomes clear that the ramp in Austin and Berlin coupled with the increased volumes from the remodeled Shanghai are clearly coming on line. I think the final piece of the puzzle will be the 4680 ramp at Austin then Berlin. All of this will take time but the more astute analysts should recognize it by the 3rd quarter. Not sure how much the proposed stock split will impact any of this but imho it has to be positive.
It is entirely possible that all of these things will coalesce around the 3rd quarter earnings release.
